It seems to me that Reny's is Maine's version of the Ocean State Job Lot. Quirky fun store with an eclectic selection of snacks & brick-a-brack.

Great department store where you find all sorts of unexpected bargains. Especially good for basic casual men's and women's clothing such as shirts, shorts, sweaters, jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, shoes, hats, socks and much more. Their food and candy selection is quite good including the house brands. Great place to get native Maine food products including honey, maple syrup, preserves, and culinary gifts.

It's definitely worth a peak! I wasn't disappointed, there is a mix of stuff here. I found some snack foods at prices I don't see at grocery stores. There a lot of different style of products, You can pay for name brand, if that is Your 'thing', but they have alternatives on top of alternatives. I happened down an isle and remembered something I was running out of, and I was happenstance, really, and now I feel like I didn't waste my day wandering around a store on a nice Beautiful summer day, I did something accidentally productive, and found a new store I want to frequent!

We've shopped at several Reny's stores, and this is one of our favorites. It's easy to get to, since it's pretty much on Route 1. It's easy to park at, since it's in a shopping center... and the parking lot seems far bigger than necessary, even when it's a popular shopping day. (Btw, the seagulls that sit in the empty parking spaces, far from the stores...? They can be hilarious to watch.) This Reny's is somewhat compact, but that gives it a cozy feeling rather than overcrowded. The range of items they carry - especially clothing and camping supplies - is impressive. The staff are what make this Reny's a gem. They're friendly, even chatty if you want to start a conversation (in my case: while waiting for my husband, trying on clothes in a dressing room). Checkout is usually quick. They'll open more registers as soon as they see the line growing. The quality of merchandise is exactly what you'd expect: Reliable, solidly made, and with fair - but very affordable - prices. With a dollar store next door and a Hannaford's in a nearby section of the shopping center - very walkable - this Reny's is super-convenient when running errands. While the range of merchandise may not be as massive as, say, the Reny's in Ellsworth, this one is more than adequate, and perhaps a bit more fun to shop at. It's certainly convenient if you're in southern Maine or coastal NH.

INCREDIBLE customer service! My 87 year old mom bought a pair of sneakers. She wore them on the beach but realized they were too small. We were able to exchange them for a larger size. No hassles. No problems. You made my mom VERY happy. (She was almost moved to tears by your kindness.) THANK YOU!
